Fantastic read!
It was incredibly fascinating to read about Cinquanta's creative policing style. He made hundreds and hundreds of arrests and was so successful at apprehending the bad guys, yet he was met with so much jealousy from other cops and even attorneys. I thoroughly enjoyed reading about all the different incidents and how Cinquanta took criminals off the streets. Loved reading about the bomb plot. A lot of people owe Daril Cinquanta their lives. Great cop, great book. Highly recommend it.
A must read if you like true crime!
Just finished “The Blue Chameleon.” This is a must-read if you like true crime stories. Through his unique insight, the author pulls the reader into his world as his police/detective career unfolds throughout the 1970s and 80s. The book details the rich history of how some of the most notorious criminals in Denver history were apprehended, many with the help of confidential informants. Each chapter could easily be a book on its own. His own personal trials and tribulations, awards and honors, round out this well-written autobiography. Can’t wait for the movie!
Gives new meaning to the word Supercop!
This book is a great read and is candid story from one of the most effective officers on the Denver Police Department. His efforts I believe saved the lives of some of his fellow officers from a group of militants intent on bombing a Denver police station. This was during a very turbulent time in Denver. I will always remember him for that action.
